What a SniCkeRs weekend!

I'm glad that I had a productive weekend (which is a rare thing.I normally spend my weekends sleeping, doing housework, and being a couch potato) 'cos I got to meet up with my old friends, made a new one, and was belanja a japanese dinner by another friend! A truly friendship weekend :)

Andak, Mandy, Telca, V oN tOp :)

Friday night, me and the girls went to check out BLUE 7. The crowd was allright 'cos they had live screenings of the World Cup and the live band was quite good too (except the little, annoying part where they sang 5 Lady Gaga songs non-stop) and its not a medley! One of my girls' friend was working there and she recommended this vodka+soda thingy. She said it was supposed to be refreshing and bubbly. And it materialized as this greenish liquid, and when I tasted, it was completely the same taste as a cough medicine ;p looks like I'm not gonna order that anymore!

2 hours later, we head off to Shen's and was surprised that the pub was half-empty. Everyone at home watching the Cup, maybe? Anyway, one of my girls' bf met us there and bought us a bottle of Black Label ;p Luckily I stuck to my all-fave pina colada and didn't join the whiskey fest as the others were being challenged by the guys to drink glass after glass after glass. The result? One going to the washroom three times in a row for a barf fest and the other trying her best to stand up straight hehe. These are the masters of drinks, and it looked like they haven't being challenged for a long looooong time. Even being in another universe, my friend was still steady behind the wheel and all of us managed to get back home in one piece ;p

Me in my new Coach Poppy :)

V oN tOp & Keeran the great explorer!

Saturday night, I met up with a new friend, Keeran, whom I got to know through Couch Surfing. We met at the newly-opened Spanish restaurant, La Fuente, at 1 Borneo Hypermall. The interior deco was quite nice and they use the Italian Illy brand (quite famous in Europe) for coffee beverages. I had an iced mocha and this mini pizza dish with lots of melted cheese and chicken ham. Yum! Back to my new-found friend, Keeran is a great guy to hang out with 'cos he can talk quite a lot of topics, in other words, very talkative lah ;p he has travelled to lots of countries and can be a qualified walking encyclopedia! he owns an adventure travel company and is currently working with his parents to recruit Sabahan students financially in need to gain engineering scholarships and study at their college in KL. And the best part is? He has climbed Mt. Kinabalu and I haven't yet! Gosh, talk about major embarrassment :p All in all, we had a great time and now I have a place to crash to when I go to KL in the future :p

salmon shioyaki and agedashi tofu!

grilled squid....YUM!

tasty beef with sweet sauce :)

the grand finale...green tea ice-cream!!

Sunday night, a friend brought my mum and I out for dinner at Nagasaki in Lintas (I get to choose! So its Japanese all the way) As usual, Upperstar which was nearby was crammed with regulars. I have no idea why people liked to go Upperstar so much. Perhaps because of its hip decor ala Hard Rock Cafe, and its the place TO BE SEEN. Well! you don't get to eat yummy sashimi or green tea ice-cream in Upperstar (ble~~) We had salmon shioyaki (grilled salmon sprinkled with salt), grilled squid with teriyaki sauce, agedashi tofu, grilled beef in sweet sauce, kaki age (friend veggies), and of course, the un-missable green tea ice-cream :) The dinner was just nice as we didn't get too full and feeling bloaty after that. We arrived home around 10 plus, just the perfect timing to prepare for next day's work and get a good night's sleep :)

So, how's your plans for the upcoming weekend? I've got an agenda in hand already for tomorrow...TGIF!!! it's the day of CM...clubbing marathon yaayy!!

see you guys in a bit yeah *winks*

Have a sNickers WeekeNd...and then some more

I live for Snickers :)

Good ol' gatal brought back as what he had promised from Labuan...Snickers mini bars!!! As you all KK peeps know, unbelievably there are no Snickers bars available in all major supermarkets for a long looong time already (To CKS, Giant, Ngiu Kee...why are u not selling?!!). Maybe you can get them in Tong Hing, but the price would be hilariously ridiculous. So I'm so happy when gatal passed over the brown package to me, dah lama aku kepunan dengan cokelat ini :p Pity that gatal is still recovering from his illness (fever, migrane, sore throat, cough...and all fireworks). I can't imagine myself still able to go on for sales trips in the terrible state that he's in. It's a bit weird to see your guy in a vulnerable condition (being weak and not in the mood to talk, especially when he's the type who's very hyperactive and will tease you mercilessly whenever he gets the chance)...so, I hope he gets real well soon and be back to his ol' funny self :D

Another reason to jump 10 metres up in joy is that i'll be meeting up some new and old friends this weekend AND i get to wear my new outfit which I bought from a trip to Europe recently! Euro-whaaa? Will let you know the details later ;)

Tonight will be bringing out my Sarawakian friends (poor boys still in college, transportation is a major problem for them.so as usual, i'll be the lady driver!) to check out this new SEVEN club in Penampang. Gonna meet up with my other friends there as well, one of them being a PR honcho for the club itself. She promised to pass me the CD containing all the original pics which she took of me during a photoshoot few months' back, yay can't wait! I LOVE it when people invites me for photoshoots 'cos u can get good quality pics from them FOC and you don't need to use your bunny years' old digicam and trying to take pics of yourself in the backyard ;p

As for the new outfit, I'll be wearing it tomorrow for an afternoon wedding (It'll be at Dewan Tun Fuad, hope the air-con's working! It's been in an 'out of order' situation for the past few months. Fix it, man! No one wants to go to weddings getting all sweaty and stuffy). And at night, I'll be meeting up my new buddy, Keeran from Bangsar, whom I get to know from CouchSurfing
(its a really great networking site to meet up with new friends.its safer cos u can check out their references from their friends etc. Worth to check it out!). Aaaand, on Sunday, a buddy of mine has invited moi for a Japanese dinner!! yum, sahimi here i come. I wonder if Hyatt's Nagisa having their Sunday brunch buffet, that'll be even super! *mouth is drooling already*

Have a nice weekend, u guys! Kalau tiada mau buat pun, tengoklah astro hehehe ~~~

If you're obsessed with COACH, read this...

my Poppy Evie :)

Hi guys! Recently, my colleagues got hyped out about getting original Coach bags online at really good prices. I really like their Poppy range, so I got this link from them and got my first ever designer bag purchased online (the Poppy Evie tote in red) :) The quality is good and the inside material of the tote is satin. I'm like, darn, i'm the type who will just throw everything inside and sharp stuff like car keys can easily scratch the material. But oh well, I just gotta take extra good care of it! And I got a few stares from onlookers when I first brought it out last weekend. I mean, you don't see many ciplak Poppy bags in KK tee hee!

The owner of the blog, Princess Vee, is super nice and will answer your enquiries promptly (she only entertains serious buyers, not just those who are curious for the pricing. But I assure you, I've checked with Coach stores in KL and they're much cheaper) In terms of bargaining, the most she can give is FOC from courier charges.

The most requested brand is Coach, but there are other brands as well such as Baby Phat, Cole Haan, Ed Hardy, Guess, Gucci, Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, and Ralph Lauren. Other than bags, you can find more accessories like watches, sunglasses, key chains, and even fridge magnets!

It'll be a while until I place my next order (haven't seen any merchandise that catches my eye...yet!), so I wish you Coach lovers out there Happy Coach surfing!

hail to the power of the influencer!

Be the Happy One...everyday!

Doesn't it just make you feel good being able to influence and making an impact of others? It comes in many ways, like motivating your little sister to get better grades for a better future or getting your mum to take up yoga for health improvement. Me? Well, I'm not sure whether it's a good thing or not, but I influence people to SPEND their money to feel good hahaha! *Angelic smile*

Since I discovered this cologne for men by accident during mega sales in Mid Valley shopping mall years ago, It was like discovering the ultimate treasure of the King of Scents for guys (seriously!) Without much persuasion by the salesgirl, I got myself the promo set in a flash (yeah, even if it was for guys). Luckily, I didn't use it and when my bf materialized (now ex), I was promoting all out for him to use the ever lovable Clinique Happy (He's been using it the whole time when we were still together and never used another brand).

I gushed all about it to my college friend too, who was a loyal user of Dunhill. Then, one day, I dropped by at his apartment to get some notes and guess what? I got a glimpse of the familiar orange bottle on a book rack in his room. I was like, 'You got the cologne!!! Like I told you to!!' And my friend just gave me a little smile. Guys, I think they are a bit shy to let the world know that girls can influence them to buy things that they wouldn't normally buy.

And it doesn't stop there! My current man is also on the Clinique craze (He used to be a Davidoff fan) and will religiously get a new bottle whenever the old one runs out of supply. Lemme let u in a li'l secret, last Valentine's apparently a secret admirer gave him Polo Black and what did he do with it? Gave it to his friend! I mean, that's not cheap, man. Even if somebody gave me a perfume for a gift, I will still use it (I can't stand Tommy Hilfiger Jeans though, it was so dizzying I gave it to my aunt - even though it was a gift).

And lastly, a friend of mine (whom I just met) got himself the promotion set after I described to him the heavenly smell from the orange bottle - and he didn't even had a whiff of it before that! Being a fan of big names like Hugo Boss and Paco Rabbane, I think it's pretty amazing for him to just purchase Clinique without even sampling the scent. Now that's what I call super influencing power hehehe

Why don't u try it too? Like what my friend said, and I quote: 'Now I'm Happy everyday!'

Doesn't make sense? Get that orange bottle today and you'll see why :)

Here comes the bride...and the bridesmaid!

We were sweating like hell...but hey, it's the fun that we had that matters :)

My cousin's wedding has got to be the most economical ever. Being her bridesmaid (and it's my first!), I was expecting make-up artists and hairstylists with their endless supplies of foundation, eyeshadow and hairspray. Instead, we had our hair done at the salon (luckily the hairstylist did a good job on creating 'natural' wavy curls for me) and the bride herself did my make-up! She remarked with distaste that the bridal studio gave her the most horrendous bridal look and decided to use her own make-up skills which were more 'natural'.

Since both of us are the same height, I had to follow whatever heels that my cousin was wearing. I brought along my most outrageously high heels (which I only wore once) and discovered they're the ones I need to wear for the reception. I got panicked for a while with a lot of 'what ifs' popping into my head. 'what if I tripped over my gown?', 'what if I fall off the stage?' But thankfully, I didn't. Even with a bit to drink, I can still swivel and dance and do the twist on my heels without making a fool of myself! And if you're wondering what sort of hideous bridesmaid dress I was wearing (big puffy sleeves, lurid shade of purple, gigantic bows which only look good on flower girls etc)...well it's none of the above! My dress for the day was a sexy, strapless shade of red satin with criss-cross details at the back (my cousin let me choose :) thanks to her hehe) Even some of the guests were confused on which was the actual bride! *teehee*

All in all, the reception went on smoothly and everyone was just happy eating, drinking and dancing (no cute guys though.seriously, WHERE are the cute guys in KK?? Apart from the man of my life of course *winks*) Even though the soles of my feet were burning towards the end of the day, I'm just so happy for the couple and hope for the best for the two lovebirds :)

What A Lazy Blogger!

"oops..." says V the bunny
zazzle.com

Once again, the lazy blogger strikes again! no blog entries in 5 whole months!! You might wonder what's happen to this little kampung girl. Don't worry, I'm still around, out and about :) It's just that work has really got me tied up around its pinky and when it comes to weekends, I'm usually laptop/pc-free cos I spent 5 days non-stop staring at the computer screen in the office. Not to fret though, I'll post up some entries and pics soon. See you guys in a bit, I promise!

show's over!

Finally! After a struggling month of constant practicing (everyday on weekdays), the day of the much-awaited performance had come and ended successfully with a capital S. Eventhough it was a small private function, the audience had a great time and was much entertained with our performances (well, they should be! Considering that we practiced like mad until midnight everyday). We did around 10 dances with the likes of retro, hip-hop, bellydance, salsa, cha-cha, and contemporary. I did 4 dances and thank God I remembered my steps and did not trip on my heels during the cha-cha dance (as I'm not a trained Latin dancer).

Overall, I made a lot of new friends from this show and hope that we're able to do a bigger (and better!) one next year :)
